WRITE:
Can be used for the lessons which include writing skills. Since classes from 4-7 all have a writing section in their English paper, they can be taught with the help of this activity
RECORD:
Record can help the students in making videos and documentaries which will help in putting fo ward their views in the form of video(a powerful tool nowadays).Can be used for the students pf classes 6 and 7.
PHYSICS:
Can be used by the students and teachers alike to make small presentations on concepts of physics and physics models which will bring about a better clarity of concepts.
LISTEN AND SPELL:
Can help in improving the spellings of the students and the advantage is that it uses phonetics though we need to be sure of its advantage over"language labs" which quite a few schools have already implemented . Such an activity can be implemented in classes 6&7.
SOCIALCALC:
Usual excel sheet which will help the students in doing their work in the form of tables. With this activity the students can also use graphs and functions to denote their work.
PAINT: Besides introducing the students to the world of colors and asking them to draw , they can also be taught different concepts like shapes . Can be used for classes like 3and 4.
Though most of these activities are present in Microsoft package, SUGAR does provide advantages in the following area.
1. it is more child friendly since the students will find it easier to work their way as the it has the basic and necessary tools instead of having a list of them. Thus, the students will be more interested in learning it on their own and will be introduced to the world of computers.
2. it is more attractive as the graphics are better appealing and child like .
