"Entering research area is not a good choice, Indians are not good at research, there are no big opportunities in pursuing Academic Career Path...etc etc "- Well these are some of the notions in the mind of young people at India. Our educational system is so oriented that students are never given a chance to let their minds roam in their own direction.
Recently one of my friends at CMU Geeta, forwarded me an excellent article written by her father-in-law, RD Vale, which explains the opportunities in the Academic Career path. This is a very great article, giving 10 solid reasons for why to pursue Academic career path. Dr. Vale has beautifully shared his experience of working as an academic scientist. I will post here some most important points of his article and will hope that this will energize some our young buddies to look ahead in the direction.
